Off-site manufactured timber frame

In the UK we continue to construct new houses with minimum insulation, lots of thermal bridges and air leakiness. The results are houses that are carbon and energy intensive, are expensive to heat and suffer from condensation and poor internal air quality. PH15 is an optimized construction solution that meets the 2025, 2030 and 2050 Climate Change Energy Targets, and can deliver Passivhaus certified and Net Zero ready new housing today.

PH15 also radically reduces upfront carbon using small section timber frames and natural breathable insulations.  The carbon cost of the PH15 timber superstructure is offset with tree planting in the UK.

PH15 is tried and tested, avoids undue cost uplift and complexity, de-risks achieving the necessary demanding air-tightness targets (our average result being 0.3 ach @ 50Pa) and includes technical support and training for architects and builders.

Adopt the PH15 solution for a rapid and successful transition to building homes that don’t cost the earth, are comfortable, healthy and eliminate fuel poverty.

Ashden’s 2022-25 strategy focuses on building more equal and sustainable societies: societies powered by low-carbon organisations and policies, liveable cities, good green jobs and clean energy for all. We will commit to discovering, amplifying, scaling and connecting the brightest climate innovations. In particular, we will elevate organisations and projects that boost green skills, jobs and livelihoods, and create ecological and social benefits for all.

Buildoffsite Property Assurance Scheme (BOPAS) was developed to address these concerns and perceived risks associated with innovative construction. BOPAS is recognised by the principal mortgage lenders as providing the necessary assurance underpinned by a warranty provision, that the property will be readily mortgageable for at least 60 years.
